Ramadan Beat 2008 - Hari Raya @ the City with Malay Heritage Centre! Ramadan Beat 2008 at the Malay Heritage Centre will be celebrated with a unique programme designed to complement the festive atmosphere of the Arab Street light-up, the Bussorah Street food fair and the buzzling activities at the grand Sultan Mosque.   Malay Heritage Centre will be the venue for the official launch of the Kampong Glam Hari Raya Light-Up on the 24th of August 2008. Kampong Glam CCC will be the main organiser of the main launch.   For this year's Kampong Glam Light-Up, the event will be graced by the Guest-of-Honour Mr Wong Kan Seng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs.         HARI RAYA @ THE CITY OFFICIAL LAUNCH Date        :       24 August 2008, Sunday Venue      :       Malay Heritage Centre Time        :       7.30pm - 10.00pm         In line with the theme, “Hari Raya @ the City”, the dynamics of living in a multi-cultural Singapore shall be incorporated into the programme.   There will be a fusion of cultural and pop elements into the items presented.   The show will be divided into several segments consisting of the pre-show, arrival of the guest-of-honour, the light up and showtime. However, the transition from one segment to another shall be done seamlessly, to give the impression of a single show.       The audience will be wowed by a dancing flame projection pyrotechnics, which will surely fill up the atmosphere.
