* Malay Opera Veterans and Groups
* The Life of Malay Opera Actors & Actresses in The Past
2. Key Components of a Malay Opera Performance
* Storyline - legends, myths, mystical
* Roles - "Orang Cantik" / "Seri Panggung" / "Jin"
* Costumes & Accessories
* Message - truth prevails, evil will never be victorious
* Language - classic Malay, royalty and melodious script
* Music, Song & Dance - Signature tune, orchestra & extra-turns
3. Basic Training for Stage-Acting
* Introduction to stage sections
* Training on breathing techniques
* Movements on stage
4. Intonation in Malay Opera
* Examples of script for radio versus stage performances
* Reading from script excerpts
* Script-reading with scene expressions
The workshop will also include a sharing and feedback session that ends with a gesture of giving away the certificate-of-attendance.

MELODY
A rare insight into the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee's music will be explored from different aspects like religion, social and cultural elements, and humour. There will also be focus on his songwriting style based on the films he directed; music arrangement, studio recording, and his sources of inspiration.
The legendary icon's style of songs that have a unique background to each, songs like "Kisah Mahjung", "Hujan di Tengah Hari", "Hamidah" and "Air Mata di Kuala Lumpur", will all be studied and explained.
THE GIFTED FILM DIRECTOR
This talk highlights the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee as a Director and the factors that influenced his direction which led to his achievements in the South East Asian Film Festival in 1956 and 1964 for best soundtrack (Hang Tuah, Madu Tiga). The role of his supporters such as Run Run Shaw, influences from Indian and Japanese film industry, and cinematography will all be shared in detail.
THE ACTOR
Participants will be enlightened by the information shared about the icon as an actor, especially his powerful presence through facial and verbal expressions. There will also be a special focus on his power of intonation, demonstrated by using different character examples in his movies namely; "Anakku Sazali" where he plays the son and father.
LANGUAGE & DIALOGUE
One of the famous traits of this legend, journey with Mr. Yusnor Ef to appreciate the classic humour style of P. Ramlee in his lyrics and scripts for films such as "Panca Delima", "Semerah Padi" and the iconic "Seniman Bujang Lapok".

Puisi (Poetry) Tradisional Melayu Bersama Djamal Tukimin
Bengkel ini menganjurkan sebanyak 3 kategori puisi tradisional seperti pantun, gurindam dan syair. Ia terbuka pada pelajar-pelajar sekolah menengah dan remaja yang berumur di bawah 21 tahun.

Dengan pendekatan secara interaktif, sesi ini akan dipenuhi dengan penerangan hal ehwal pantun sebagai warisan, dan para peserta berpeluang mencipta sekurang-kurangnya lima pantun dalam berbagai aspek/kategori yang akan diberikan oleh penceramah.
15 November, 10am-5pm (Gurindam, Syair & Sajak)
Dengan pendekatan secara interaktif, sesi ini akan dipenuhi dengan penerangan keseluruhan erti gurindam dengan segala macam pengaruhnya terhadap budaya Melayu dan rantau serumpun. Selebih sesi ini akan digunakan untuk mencipta gurindam secara berkelompok. Syair pula akan diaktrasikan melalui satu persembahan.

Seminar "Islam & Puisi",
Forum "Peranan Puisi Dalam Masyarakat
dan "Bacaan Puisi Nusantara Ketiga"
Specially designed for begginers, the Rebana and Gambus Elementary courses are open for registration now. Taught by the musicians from the renowned Singapore Malay traditional ensemble Sri Mahligai, participants will be introduced to the music background and history of the instruments, fundamental techniques of play to different beats, rhythm and tempo. The various basic Malay music types will also be explained like "Inang", "Joget", "Asli" and "Zapin". Tips on maintaining the instruments, how to perform solo and when playing with a group, and various improvisations to maximize the instruments will also be shared by the instructors.
